BOOK OF SIGHT — A metaphysical seeking for a true and pure vision which by the very nature of the quest sets one apart and puts one quite often in a very dangerous position ... DEATH - To me this felt like a gospel tune and no matter how close the pale horseman is you've got to keep on, and be always defiant... SWEET DARKNESS — An area in which solace can be found — a bittersweet sometimes exciting, dangerous cathartic place where the illuminating flames and dark hallways exist... BETTER ANGEL - A somewhat political road song with a ragged plea for some kind of divine intervention and better tunes on the cosmic radio that curl up the hair on the back of your neck ... BUILDING A COFFIN - A somber funeral march kind of tune. When I lived in the backwoods of Tennessee I would go into this little church and play this old out of tune piano. This song comes pretty much from there and is dark in tone until the last verse... GOLDEN SONG - A "car/road song" with an aching feel and a constant looking to find something: a song, a great painting, poem, friend, a lover — a connection ...
