Long before it began it was already done

dropped by tethers one by one

Tiny people whirl around in the rain their god sent dawn 

Deep in the earth was a city of stones 
Laid up straight as an arrow 
Unseen hands have locked them away 
In a hillside carved out hollow 

Under the same sky 
a thousand years they would lie

They danced in aline by the light of the moon 
Strapped to the beast of the pasture 
There were rocks and stones, flesh and bones 
and cloven hooves in the asters

 Gather round and raise the stone beneath the gown of heaven 
Eternally under the blue 
Together we'll be lying

I came this way on a broken track 
With all I can carry on my back 
For those who lie beneath the moss
